This is Office for Presencing Architecture, a newsletter for a project to contribute to evolving practice for our future. We seek to inspire and to challenge you, because we need change. We hope to find colleagues supportive of our approach and to create a community.
This publication is in support of making our environments in harmony with Nature, and that they aspire architecture and inspire the practicing architect, beyond the confines of our common contemporary professional formats or the construction of buildings. We come at this from the reference frame of the profession, derived from the architectural movements of this and the last few generations and including traditional knowledge. It is for planners and designers, and for scientists, engineers and technologists who strive for an approach to our world as a single being that we are all part of. The environments we occupy are part of a great body of life that needs us to understand that unity and we need to be able to act properly in it.
The early posts contain OPA’s orientation to how and why we adjust the world’s environments and the relationship of that to architecture. These introduce the thematic flows that we will follow. They will be public posts for at least the first two months.
